About Ana Solo

About me, Ana Solo

I was born in Zamora, Spain in 1969 and grew up in the small town of Toro before later relocating to Oviedo. After spending some time in Paris, I moved to England in 1987. In February 2010, I immigrated to New Zealand and currently reside in Tapawera, located in the Tasman region.

I studied at Goldsmith’s College in London and Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Subsequently, I began working as a graphic designer and art director for various advertising firms.

In January 2002, I became a full-time graphic designer and artist and devoted my time to painting, illustrating, and marketing my own creative company, Sugarcube Studios.

My artwork pays homage to the wonder of the natural world and strives to encourage people to pause and reestablish a connection with nature.
